    Welcome to the maiden edition of the Candid English Magazine. This exciting magazine was born out of a dream to see the English language rise to its best level in the Ghanaian society. It must be a great joy to see the very first edition.

    The Candid English Magazine is designed to present to the public good literature and reading materials that would be useful to both the young and the old. It is a magazine that can be picked up at any time to find answers to some nagging grammar questions or any information pertaining to the English language.

    Teachers would find the CEM useful. It would provide them with reading pieces and grammatical facts that would help boost their confidence and give them absolute control over the class.

    Each edition of the CEM comes with interesting stories, drama, poetry, grammar facts, literature, writing guides, tests and questions that would help one to think and come up with creative pieces. Where questions are given, answers to the questions would be provided in the next edition so that those who attempt the questions can compare their answers and see their strengths.

    There are also many games such as puzzles, riddles, anagrams, palindromes and mazes, all of which are designed to provide interludes and also to help students test their level of intelligence.

    Age Range: 3 – 5 years

    Icon Phonics for Nursery has been specially prepared to teach learners the letters of the English alphabet. The sounds of the letters of the alphabet have been carefully and systematically arranged to enable learners cope with the learning of the sounds. Every letter sound has been matched with everyday objects or things learners can identify. This is to make learning easier for them. Under each letter sounds, learners will have to perform the activity of colouring a letter and object that matches the letter sounds.

    This will help learners learn the letter sounds faster and commit them to memory. After learning every 3 or 4 letter sounds, a practice activity is given at the end. This is to further test whether learners have learnt the sounds well. The variety of activities make it fun for learners and help them to further remember the sounds.

    Learners after using this book will be versed in the sounds of the alphabet as foundation to the next class which will focus on learning the vowels and combining consonant and vowels to form simple words. Teachers, parents and learners will find this phonics book interesting to use.

Young learners were particularly paid attention to, so they have the full benefits of these books, and prepare them adequately into the world of mathematics.

    The Numeracy for KG 2 was carefully extracted from the KG Curriculum to help young learners have the requisite understanding of the basic concepts, and to enable them to move to the upper classes with ease. Besides, the language has been kept brief in both the rubrics, headings and explanation of concepts to enable the young learners to read after a little guide by teacher. The books have been divided into 7 strands, namely:
