The Plight of Akimbu

Age Range: 4 – 9 years

To cope with his parents’ marital problems, Akimbu, a fourteen-year-old boy, finds himself in the wrong company of young boys who are involved in drug abuse. The group gradually introduces Akimbu to smoking marijuana and cigarette, drinking alcoholic beverages and abusing tramadol.

Akimbu sticks to this group of boys and turns a deaf ear to all forms of advice including that of, his friends and teachers. With time, the drugs, medicines and alcohol he abused began to have a toll on every aspect of his life.
