Simidele Dosekun is a lecturer in media and cultural studies in the School of Media, Film and Music at the University of Sussex.

Her research interests cut across gender and feminism in Africa; transnational feminist cultural studies; feminist theory; and qualitative, feminist and poststructuralist methodologies. She has a Bachelor's degree in Social Studies from Harvard University.
