Othello is a highly esteemed black general in the service of Venice. lago is Othello’s ambitious friend. Othello promotes Cassio to the position of personal lieutenant and lago is deadly jealous. Othello run away with Desdemona secretly in order to get married but lago starts to plot against them.
Othello becomes jealous and suspicious of Desdemona. Plots and murders ensue and Othello returns to the castle to kill his innocent wife. Othello wounds lago, then kills himself.
