Ananse (the spider), one of the great folk heroes, is a cunning, mischievous, wise, and lovable creature. In this story, there was a great famine and Ananse tricked other animals in his village for food using the site of a mysterious stone. While Ananse was at his mischief, Mr. Squirrel watched and pondered how he could stop crafty Ananse before he wipes out all the animals in the forest.
