Jowhor Ile was born in 1980 and grew up in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, where he currently lives. His fiction has appeared in McSweeney's Quarterly and Litro Magazine.

His debut novel, 'And After Many Days' won the Etisalat Prize for Literature (2016).
