• Victory: Career Technology for Junior High Schools (Basic 7)

    Victory Career Technology for JHS is part of a series of four books (Basic 7-10) designed to help learners acquire basic knowledge in career related courses that will prepare them to pursue their area of competences as far as choosing a career is concerned.

    With its simplified presentation and detailed approach to teaching and learning , using simple clear language and carefully selected pictures/illustrations, both learners and facilitators will find this book very useful and second to none.

    Incorrect English expressions are common in the English-speaking world, but those using such expressions may not be aware that they are incorrect. This book examines many examples of incorrect usage. It provides the correct expressions and uses these in sentences so the reader can be confident of correct usage. The book abounds with helpful explanations of points made.

    Icon Numeracy is a series of three books, namely:

  • Icon Series: Phonics for Nursery

    Age Range: 3 – 5 years

    Icon Phonics for Nursery has been specially prepared to teach learners the letters of the English alphabet. The sounds of the letters of the alphabet have been carefully and systematically arranged to enable learners cope with the learning of the sounds. Every letter sound has been matched with everyday objects or things learners can identify. This is to make learning easier for them. Under each letter sounds, learners will have to perform the activity of colouring a letter and object that matches the letter sounds.

    This will help learners learn the letter sounds faster and commit them to memory. After learning every 3 or 4 letter sounds, a practice activity is given at the end. This is to further test whether learners have learnt the sounds well. The variety of activities make it fun for learners and help them to further remember the sounds.

    SeedTime I brings together Selected Poems from Kofi Anyidoho’s first five collections, beginning in reverse order with poems from AncestralLogic & CaribbeanBlues (1993), A Harvest of Our Dreams (1984), EarthChild (1985), Elegy for the Revolution (1978), and BrainSurgery (1985). BrainSurgery, the earliest of these collections, was never published as a collection until it came out together with EarthChild (Woeli Publishing Services, 1985), even though several of the poems had appeared in various journals, magazines and anthologies.
