The title of this book Nyɛ Ko Pee Ye Ya means ‘Do not perform my funeral rites.’
The story is about a couple-to-be who eloped to get married somewhere. As their whereabouts were not known and all attempts to trace them failed, they were taken to be dead. The lady’s family therefore decided to perform her funeral rites when she quickly wrote from an unknown destination requesting them not to perform her funeral rites as she was still alive.
