Mo Issa is an entrepreneur who has started a second career as a writer. He has also finally realized that he is indeed a spiritual being having an earthly experience, and that understanding has changed his life.

Issa awakens every day at six, and he writes for at least an hour. This discipline has made him very productive and alive. This spiritual discipline has resulted in his self-help guide, The Shift; his book of poetry, The Dense Mistiness of the Ordinary; his many blog posts at mo-issa.com; and other publications.

When he isn’t writing, Issa enjoys meditating and running in the rain.

  • The Dense Mistiness of the Ordinary

In his first collection of poetry, Mo Issa reflects on the pains and joys he experienced while on his own journey of self-discovery to find his authentic voice.

Throughout these thirty-three diverse poems, Mo delves into the emotions surrounding his sense of feeling confused and conflicted within the corporate world, his travels, his internal battle on choosing between materialism and fulfillment, his ideas and his philosophies about how to live more fully.

The Dense Mistiness of the Ordinary shares a varied collection of poetry that highlights one man’s journey through life as he listens to his heart and intuition to find himself and his purpose.

Mo Issa is an entrepreneur, certified business and life success coach, and born-again writer who recognizes that he is a spiritual being having an earthly human experience. He lives with his wife, son and daughter in Ghana. The Dense Mistiness of the Ordinary is his first book of poetry.

  • The Shift: How to Awaken to the Aliveness Within

After a devastating family tragedy, author Mo Issa was forced to reexamine his life. Six surprising catalysts helped him rethink his whole life plan. These came from a wide range of sources—from Leo Tolstoy’s seminal classic The Death of Ivan Ilyich to Brené Brown’s TED Talk. With these influences in mind, Issa thought about the way he was living and asked himself whether it was how he really wanted to live his life.

It wasn’t, and Issa realized he had to change. He started working toward a more authentic, spiritual existence. Along the way, he dug deep into his psyche and got to know himself, identifying the habits that helped him focus on his purpose. He is now sharing these habits and more with you!

    In The Shift, Issa discusses

    – the importance of authenticity,
    – the connection between the spirit and the mind,
    – the need for vulnerability,
    – the direct and indirect actions that can help you form good habits,
    – the consequences of conforming to society’s standards instead of questioning and challenging them, and
    living a life without regret.

Issa hopes he can inspire you and give you the tools you need to seek out the true version of yourselves.
