Once upon a time, the Goat lived in the forest with all the other animals. He was a great scholar and an outstanding athlete. At a point in time, the lives of the animals became endangered when the Lion, the Leopard and the Hyena started killing them for meat.

Wise Ananse saw this wicked act and held a meeting with the animals to delegate a leader to help them combat the villains. The Goat was chosen to play this role, an act that was to have serious implications on his life forever.
