Nola Turkington

Nola Turkington was brought up in Kwa Zulu, Natal. She worked as a medical and educational administrator in Durban and Grahamstown, and developed a Reading for Pleasure programme for Soweto and other black townships using her own short stories, which were published by 1820 Foundation.

She is now a full-time writer of children's books and has published many titles.

She lives in Tsitsikamma, Grahamstown.
