The author has written on a very important subject, one which is of greater significance today than may be generally recognized. He writes as a Westerner conscious that there are dimensions to the story of the Bible in Africa which can only be effectively told by Africans themselves. Nevertheless he writes with deep passion about Africa; in our time that is not very common.
