Alke-Bulan Duo and Heritage Tales from Santse
“Alke-Bulan Duo” is an uncommon, classical novel – a historical fictional narrative of the saga of Two Ancient Africans, whose identities and personae were inspired by the intriguing Biblical account of Barabbas and Simeon of Cyrene. The saga of the Two is positioned in the historical settings of the 1st century AD and is recounted by Ataa Forkoyi, the legendary protagonist, to his audience of seven children of the Kerit Kids Klub at a campsite in the Accra Plains of Ghana.
The novel’s foremost backdrop – an enveloping ambience of settings anchored in the epoch of ancient times and in varying geographical spaces, including Judea, stretching from North-East and North-West Africa (Pelusium, Alexandria, Apollonia and Cyrene), the Sahara Desert, Menroe, Sudan and Ethiopia, is juxtaposed to complementing contexts of explored realities of 19th and 20th centuries’ remarkable natural and cultural heritages of Ghana.
The plot of the novel is lucid, but subtly woven and couched in varying intricate and intriguing circumstances and contexts that essentially frame the novel, characterized by exquisite historical allusions, sharp satirical inferences, fabulous natural history expositions and architectural analytical references, aligned with profoundly scholarly and philosophical reflections.
The novel is a literary masterpiece, crafted in a non-pedigreed genre, full of fascinating nuances and spectacles, besides spiking the narration with conscious allusions to the significance of the role of the Black African race in human history, aspersions to the trans-Sahara and trans-Atlantic Slave Trades, employment of the poetic power of dualism, highlighting usage of Latin and Ga words in the text to accentuate the classical and cultural orientation of the novel.
It is a novel that proclaims a robust and a compelling message of hope for Black African youth and children.₵200.00 -

Coast of Slaves
This is the first volume in Hansen’s classic slave trade trilogy. When America was discovered and plantations established, slave labour became the principal export commodity from the Gold Coast. This book is about the history of Danish/Norwegian participation in the trans- Atlantic slave trade. It describes the organisation of the trade, the participants, the challenge, and the link with the West Indies to where the slaves were transported for work on the sugar plantations. It describes Danish purchase of islands in the West Indies, and traces how the decline in Dutch and British trade, and the abilities of the Danish administration led to a golden age in the Danish slave trade in the 1770s and 1780s. In that period, the Danish share in the total slave trade exceeded ten percent; and the decline in the trade with the growth of a new European consciousness, heralded abolition.
Coast of Slaves, the first volume of the trilogy, was originally published in Danish in 1967. This English translation is edited to provide explanations about inaccessible references as well as established factual misrepresentations.

The entire security apparatus is helpless – unless they found someone with the requisite experience to infiltrate the heavily guarded Castle, thwart the dreaded 4th Battalion of Infantry, and break a sick President out.
The Ultimate Madness: West Africa had gone mad again. Coups and counter-coups prevailed from North to South. Civil wars ran like wild fire from East to West. Everywhere was a bloody abattoir. In Liberia, the foolishness was perhaps, even more so. In the thick of that madness, a young medical student, seemingly not smart enough to comprehend the extent of the danger, arrive from Ghana. His one motive is the rescue of his twin – and anyone else smart enough to come along. Moving against time itself, bloodthirsty cannibals and the invasion of Libyan-trained rebels, he finds his family but there is no sister.
The Ultimate Score: Dr. Alexander J. Cattrall wants no part in the fracas between Ghana’s National Security Agency and a Chief of Staff who has suddenly declared himself President. Faceless
Street life in the slums of Accra is realistically portrayed in this socially-commited, subtle novel about four educated women who are inspired by the plight of a 14-year old girl, Fofo. As the main characters convert their library center into a practical street initiative, the novel invokes the squalor, health risks, and vicious cycles of poverty and violence that drive children to the streets and women to prostitution; and, from which, ultimately, no one in the society is free.

Heal the Hood
Hatima Parker is an African-American teenage girl living on the mean streets of South Central Los Angeles. Life in the hood is always tough but life produces more obstacles when an African-American man named Rodney King is beaten by the LAPD and an African-American teenage girl named Latasha Harlins is murdered by a Korean woman.
Hatima has dreams of becoming a Marine and an Africanist and her goals cause her to question the world she lives in. She’s not sure if she wants to pursue a career with the US Armed Forces as that could easily lead to a career in law enforcement. She also finds herself connecting the teachings of Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, the Black Panthers, Marcus Garvey, Frederick Douglass, Nelson Mandela, and other black leaders to the incidents of racism she witnesses in her world in order to see if their many ways to change the status quo were effective and still are.
Hatima also starts a relationship with a Korean teenage boy named Joshua Yang. But since racial tensions are high between African-Americans and Korean-Americans, there are many people against the biracial couple being together.
Hatima learns the world is far from perfect and throughout 1991 and 1992 she learns how to take a stand against a world that often chooses hatred over love.

Imminent River
A DEATH-DEFYING CONTEST FOR A LIFE-RESTORING FORMULA…
Far deeper than the story of a traditional healer and her feuding children’s search for her ‘life’ formula, Imminent River seamlessly melds a delectably gorgeous love story into a historical family saga, one reminiscent of Alex Haley’s R-o-o-t-s, but in which the search is in the opposite direction, for the ‘shoots’ rather than ‘roots’. This epic spans half a world – from the fetid swamps of West Africa, Europe and North America and Back. The result: an intricate build-up, a breath-taking denouement, a hair-raising resolution. If bookshelves were anthills, they’d rise in standing ovation.
