The writer, Stella Osammor, is a Lawyer by training and a member of the British Law Society. She is also a member of the British Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and is a graduate of Sociology and Anthropology. Stella Osammor worked as a journalist in the 70s with the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation, Lagos. She lived in Britain for many years and now resident in Nigeria.
Stella Osammor is the author of Triumph of the Water Lily, a best seller, used by educational institutions in Nigeria. The Triumph of the Water Lily was in the final shortlist of the Association of Nigeria Authors (ANA) awards, in 1996. Silhouettes of a Treasured Heritage is Stella’s second book, it has been approved as a reading text for second circle pupils by the Ghana National Council for Curriculum Assessment (NACCA). It is also approved by the Qualification and Curriculum Authority (QCA) of Britain for the teaching of Britain’s multicultural History. Silhouettes of a Treasured Heritage is a recommended reading text at Princeton University, USA. Stella has also written several books for children.
