Nii Kpani Addy was born in Accra, Ghana. He studied Science at Achimota School and went on to obtain a BSc in Biochemistry and Food Science at the University of Ghana.

He worked for the British Council from 1998 to 2007 during which time he acquired a second degree in Management from the University of Durham, UK.

He is currently self-employed and is Executive Partner at I-Quadrant Ventures, a food processing company that makes confectionery.
