Writing under the penname Kwaku Osei-Bonsu, Isaac Osei-Bonsu had his secondary shool education in T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School, Kumasi. He holds a B.Sc. and an M.Phil degree, both in Botany, from the University of Ghana. Despite his strong inclination to the field of Science, Osei-Bonsu has always loved writing. His story, Friends Forever, won the First Prize in the UNESCO Children’s Storybook Writing Competition (Senior Secondary Category) in 2003. Lami’s Nightmare is his first published novel. The book was shortlisted for the 2009 Burt Award for African Literature.

Currently, he resides in Accra and works as a part-time lecturer at the Islamic University College of Ghana.
