Dr. Eric Ayisi Akrofi had his elementary and secondary education in Ghana after which he proceeded to the Royal Academy of Music, London, U.K., where he studied Piano, Cello, Theory and History Of Music.
He was also educated at the University of London where he received his B.Mus. degree; Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, U.S.A where he received his M.A. degree in Music Education, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, U.S.A. where he received his Ed.D in Music Education.
He is the author of a number of scholarly articles and critical reviews. Dr. Akrofi has, since 1995, been teaching University of Transkei, South Africa prior to which he was Senior Lecturer in Music at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana.
