Dr Daniel Sackey studied veterinary medicine at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen, West Germany, where he qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 1977. After practising in the International Slaughter House and private clinics in West Germany, he joined the Veterinary Services Department of Ghana in 1982, first as a District Veterinary Officer in charge of Nsawam and in 1991 became responsible for the Veterinary Clinics at La, Teshie and Dansoman, Accra. He was also the Metropolitan Director of Food and Agriculture, Accra Metropolitan Assembly.

He was former Chief Veterinary Surgeon of Accra, has written a book on care of dogs in Ghana, and was the first Ghanian to operate on a leopard (at the Accra zoo in the ’90’s). Provides the full range of veterinary services from routine to exceptional.
